I see what\u2019s happening,\u201d he said during a rally in South Carolina<\/a> on Saturday, adding that his successor can still \u201cend this tragedy without getting Americans snared into a gruesome and very bloody war.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a former US ambassador to Ukraine said that transcripts revealing Mr Trump\u2019s attempts to withhold congressionally approved military aid from Ukraine during a 2019 phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> likely emboldened the Russian president.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it certainly plays a part.
