PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 It\u2019s been more than two years since <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfla.com\/news\/pinellas-county\/court-documents-suggest-deadly-parking-lot-beat-down-in-st-pete-was-a-hate-crime\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scott Jenks was beaten to death <\/a>in a St. Petersburg parking lot. <\/p>\n<p>Friday would have been his 51st birthday. His family and friends celebrated his life in the place where it tragically came to an end.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfla.com\/news\/pinellas-county\/st-pete-rapper-rod-wave-to-give-away-25000-in-free-gas\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tSt. Pete rapper Rod Wave to give away $25,000 in free gas\t<\/a><br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>Linda Young describes the last two years as an emotional roller coaster, but she wants people to remember who her brother was.<\/p>\n<p>Young says she\u2019s still fighting to get justice for her brother.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo cross that line and do what he did, he could have stopped and walked away,\u201d Young said.<\/p>\n<p>Young says everyone got along with her brother, which is why it\u2019s still hard to grasp what happened to him. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators say Kristoff King beat Scotty Jenks to death, outside The Sports Bar &amp; Grill. The arrest warrant indicates King\u2019s beat-down of Jenks was a racial hate crime.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfla.com\/news\/florida\/father-chases-man-who-recorded-daughters-in-florida-walmart-fitting-room\/?ipid=promo-link-block2\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tMan accused of recording kids in fitting room: police\t<\/a><br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe begged for his life, saying I love you Chris please stop,\u201d Young said.<\/p>\n<p>Jenks was a bartender in St. Petersburg for more than 25 years. He was a father, brother and friend. Not a day goes by where Young doesn\u2019t think about her brother.<\/p>\n<p>She and a few of Jenks\u2019 friends got together on his birthday to light lanterns and celebrate his life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just don\u2019t anyone to forget him or what happened,\u201d Young said. \u201cI have to get justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kristoff is still in jail.
