Reno County Sheriff Darrian Campbell announced the promotion of eight employees at the Reno County Correctional Facility as part of an operational realignment.<\/p>\n

\"Joshua<\/figure>\n

Joshua Scott\u00a0<\/strong>recently was promoted to Jail Lieutenant.<\/p>\n

Lt. Scott started his career with the Reno County Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2011 as a deputy and was promoted to jail sergeant in 2015. Before his employment with the Sheriff\u2019s Office, Scott served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police. During his employment with the Sheriff\u2019s Office, he has been a Jail Training Officer, JTO Program Sergeant, and has served as a Shift Supervisor.<\/p>\n

In the position, Scott will focus on recruitment, facility supervision, and overseeing the jail’s Transportation Unit.<\/p>\n

\"Theodore<\/figure>\n
\"Kaleb<\/figure>\n

Two officers,\u00a0Theodore Smith<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Kaleb McDaniel\u00a0<\/strong>recently were promoted to jail sergeant.<\/p>\n

Sgt. Smith began his career with the Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2009 and has been assigned as a deputy and Work Release Officer. Smith earned a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master\u2019s Degree in Public Administration.<\/p>\n

Sgt. McDaniel has been with the Reno County Sheriff\u2019s Office for about 10 years. During that time he\u2019s been a jail deputy and been assigned to the Transportation Unit.<\/p>\n

Five officers were promoted from jail deputy to corporal.<\/p>\n

\"David<\/figure>\n

David Dozier\u00a0<\/strong>began his career with the Reno County Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2012. During his tenures, besides being a jail deputy, he assisted in leading the Transportation Unit. Before joining the county, Dozier served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major.<\/p>\n

\"Simon<\/figure>\n

Simon Hiebert\u00a0<\/strong>has worked for the Reno County Sheriff\u2019s Office for 6 years. He\u2019s also been a jail deputy and briefly the Mental Health Liaison deputy.<\/p>\n

\"Jeremy<\/figure>\n

Jeremy Stone\u00a0<\/strong>has been with the Sheriff\u2019s Office since 2012. Stone has been assigned as a Jail Deputy and has trained many deputies in the Jail Training Officer Program.<\/p>\n

\"Matthew<\/figure>\n

Matthew Morrill\u00a0<\/strong>has been employed with the Sheriff\u2019s Office since 2018. During his employment, Cpl. Morrill has served as a Jail Deputy and has also been a Jail Training Officer.<\/p>\n

\"Andrew<\/figure>\n

Andrew Yoder<\/strong> began his career with the Reno County Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2010. He has served as a Jail Deputy and is currently one of the agency’s Defense Instructors and a Firearm Instructor.<\/p>\n

Fire Department recognizes \u201cemployees of the year,\u201d others\u00a0<\/h2>\n

The Hutchinson Fire Department held its fourth annual awards banquet on April 9 at the department\u2019s Training Center to recognize outstanding achievements in 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n
