This SSW position will be embedded in the Brooklyn Park Police Department with a team of three other social workers. This position will work with a variety of individuals in various stages of change and need. The position entails phone coverage, direct response to officers calling for support in the community, follow up on referrals from officers, and coordinating resources and information for community members as a short term service provider.<\/p>\n Location and hours:<\/strong> About the position type<\/strong>: Effective September 1, 2021, all new job offers are conditional based on the candidate being fully vaccinated for COVID-19. \u201cFully vaccinated\u201d means 14 days after receiving the second dose in a two-dose vaccination series approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on a full or emergency-use basis, or 14 days after receiving a single-dose vaccine approved by the FDA on a full or emergency-use basis. \nThis position will be located in the Brooklyn Park Police Department at 5400 85th Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55443 and within the community of Brooklyn Park, as needed. Shifts\u00a0will be shared between other social workers on the team.\u00a0On-site work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with 2-3 days each week covering the 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. shift.\u00a0<\/p>\n
