A draft of the decision for Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization was leaked to Politico and published by the news outlet on Monday, prompting anger from the GOP at the shattering of longtime Supreme Court confidentiality norms. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cYesterday\u2019s unprecedented leak is an attempt to severely damage the Supreme Court. This clearly coordinated campaign to intimidate and obstruct the Justices of the United States Supreme Court, and its independence in our political system, from upholding the Constitution must be immediately investigated by the court,\u201d House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) said in a joint statement on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLast night\u2019s stunning breach was an attack on the independence of the Supreme Court. By every indication, this was yet another escalation in the radical left\u2019s ongoing campaign to bully and intimidate federal judges and substitute mob rule for the rule of law,\u201d Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said in another statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
