{"id":32226,"date":"2022-05-29T08:42:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-29T08:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjstudents.com\/?p=32226"},"modified":"2022-05-29T08:42:54","modified_gmt":"2022-05-29T08:42:54","slug":"launch-of-social-justice-aotearoa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjstudents.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/29\/launch-of-social-justice-aotearoa\/","title":{"rendered":"Launch Of \u2018Social Justice Aotearoa\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<\/p>\n<div id=\"article\">\n<div class=\"story-top\">\n<p>           <span class=\"byline\"><b>Sunday, 29 May 2022,  7:47 pm<\/b><br \/><b>Press Release: <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/info.scoop.co.nz\/Social_Justice_Aotearoa\" rel=\"noopener\">Social Justice Aotearoa<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mother and Auckland based businesswoman Jackie Foster is<br \/>\nlaunching her own charitable trust- \u2018Social Justice<br \/>\nAotearoa\u2019 on Sunday 29 May.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie says, &#8220;I see this<br \/>\nas an essential service to guide and support Kiwis to<br \/>\nnavigate through a complicated and often unjust<br \/>\nGovernment-run bureaucratic system, during what can be a<br \/>\nsudden and very traumatic time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie was abruptly<br \/>\nintroduced to both the Police and Corrections systems in<br \/>\n2019 when her son was arrested and eventually convicted.<br \/>\nThis gave her the courage and the passion to advocate for<br \/>\nothers who have felt powerless and let down by the<br \/>\nsystem.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie says, \u201cEvery day we hear about<br \/>\ngovernment departments making terrible mistakes which affect<br \/>\nKiwis in terrible ways, whether it be Oranga Tamariki<br \/>\nunjustly removing a child from a home, or someone who finds<br \/>\nthemselves in prison, with an experience of Police and<br \/>\nCorrections processes that have not been followed correctly<br \/>\nor justly\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really just want to help other<br \/>\npeople through the system, particularly the Corrections and<br \/>\nPolice systems, and also <strong>CHALLENGE<\/strong> the<br \/>\noverall system where it is wrong and create the change that<br \/>\nwill create a more open, transparent, and fairer situation<br \/>\nfor all New Zealanders,\u201d Jackie Foster<br \/>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>www.sja.org.nz<\/p>\n<h2>Biography:<\/h2>\n<p>Jackie<br \/>\nFoster is a well-known figure who is respected in her<br \/>\ncommunity. From her involvement in schools to coaching and<br \/>\nmanaging sports teams.<\/p>\n<p>From humble beginnings, Jackie<br \/>\nendured hardships during her childhood, spending time in<br \/>\nWomen\u2019s Refuge and working from a young age to help<br \/>\nsupport her mother and siblings. She has been married for 26<br \/>\nyears and resides on the Hibiscus Coast with her<br \/>\nfamily.<\/p>\n<p>Previously Jackie was employed by The<br \/>\nMillennium Institute of Sport and Health. Her various<br \/>\npositions included managing the swim school, coordinating<br \/>\nmultiple school programs, and coordinating high profile<br \/>\nindividuals and athletes to work with school age children in<br \/>\ntheir sports activities.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, Millennium Institute<br \/>\nof Sport &amp; Health selected her to assist NZ Police with<br \/>\nfacilitating the DARE Program.
