\nlaunching her own charitable trust- \u2018Social Justice
\nAotearoa\u2019 on Sunday 29 May.<\/p>\n
\nas an essential service to guide and support Kiwis to
\nnavigate through a complicated and often unjust
\nGovernment-run bureaucratic system, during what can be a
\nsudden and very traumatic time\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nintroduced to both the Police and Corrections systems in
\n2019 when her son was arrested and eventually convicted.
\nThis gave her the courage and the passion to advocate for
\nothers who have felt powerless and let down by the
\nsystem.<\/p>\n
\ngovernment departments making terrible mistakes which affect
\nKiwis in terrible ways, whether it be Oranga Tamariki
\nunjustly removing a child from a home, or someone who finds
\nthemselves in prison, with an experience of Police and
\nCorrections processes that have not been followed correctly
\nor justly\u201d.<\/p>\n
\npeople through the system, particularly the Corrections and
\nPolice systems, and also CHALLENGE<\/strong> the
\noverall system where it is wrong and create the change that
\nwill create a more open, transparent, and fairer situation
\nfor all New Zealanders,\u201d Jackie Foster
\nsaid.<\/p>\nBiography:<\/h2>\n
\nFoster is a well-known figure who is respected in her
\ncommunity. From her involvement in schools to coaching and
\nmanaging sports teams.<\/p>\n
\nendured hardships during her childhood, spending time in
\nWomen\u2019s Refuge and working from a young age to help
\nsupport her mother and siblings. She has been married for 26
\nyears and resides on the Hibiscus Coast with her
\nfamily.<\/p>\n
\nMillennium Institute of Sport and Health. Her various
\npositions included managing the swim school, coordinating
\nmultiple school programs, and coordinating high profile
\nindividuals and athletes to work with school age children in
\ntheir sports activities.<\/p>\n
\nof Sport & Health selected her to assist NZ Police with
\nfacilitating the DARE Program. The DARE program provides
\nactivities and skills to equip at risk NZ youth to develop
\ntheir skills in decision making, assertiveness,
\nresponsibility, and esteem so they can live healthy and
\nsuccessfully lives.<\/p>\n
\nbiggest role model was her late mother, who had core
\nprinciples that Jackie strives to live by – standing up for
\nwhat is right, always lending a hand to those in need, and
\nalways treating everyone how she\u2019d want to be treated.
