{"id":36187,"date":"2023-01-13T06:06:48","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T06:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjstudents.com\/?p=36187"},"modified":"2023-01-13T06:06:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T06:06:48","slug":"glasgow-caledonian-university-to-study-domestic-abuse-murders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjstudents.com\/index.php\/2023\/01\/13\/glasgow-caledonian-university-to-study-domestic-abuse-murders\/","title":{"rendered":"Glasgow Caledonian University to study domestic abuse murders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<\/p>\n<p>\n  Researchers are to study police files of domestic abuse murders in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/news\/homenews\/\" class=\"section-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a> in a bid to prevent future deaths.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"subscription-content\">\n<p>\n  Academics from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) will analyse cases to identify patterns of behaviour and highlight safeguarding opportunities.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The study, which has the backing of Police Scotland and violence against women charities, will focus on cases where a woman was killed by an abusive partner or an ex.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A number of domestic homicide cases over a period of 10 years have been selected for in-depth analysis.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  GCU\u00a0is collaborating with Police Scotland, the Scottish Institute for Policing Research, Scottish Women\u2019s Aid, ASSIST and EmilyTest on the project, the first of its kind in Scotland.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ MORE:<\/strong> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldscotland.com\/news\/homenews\/23245680.police-scotland-told-act-outdated-domestic-abuse-views\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Police Scotland told to act over &#8216;outdated&#8217;
