It’s been nearly three years since the release of Ariana Grande<\/a>‘s last album, 2020’s\u00a0Positions<\/em>, and fans are missing the pop star. Just don’t assume she’s left her pop music roots behind, though.<\/p>\n “Why aren’t you a singer anymore?” Grande wrote in a new TikTok<\/a>, mimicking the fans who have been wondering where she’s been.<\/p>\n “Is literally on set filming two musical movies all day every day,” she continued via text, adding she was “mid getting ready” and hiding “Galinda’s hair” before launching into a flawless impromptu version of “Over the Rainbow.”<\/p>\n Grande is currently immersed in her\u00a0Wicked<\/em> role as the so-called Good Witch Galinda \u2014 originally played by Kristin Chenoweth<\/a> on Broadway \u2014 which influenced her song choice.<\/p>\n “Wanted to sing you a little something but don\u2019t want to sing anything that is not ‘Ozian’ at the moment \ud83d\ude42 keeping to my little bubble for now \u2026 done with lots of love,” Grande explained in the caption.<\/p>\n Watch the TikTok, below:<\/p>\n In the TikTok comments, fans were both surprised and delighted by Grande’s return to the app, which she\u00a0rarely posts on outside of promoting her beauty label,\u00a0r.e.m. beauty.
