Jared Polis\u2019 office<\/a>, which announced on Friday that 15 board members were appointed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">\n\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/ws\/local\/you-can-warm-up-in-these-6-colorado-hot-springs\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tYou can warm up in these 6 Colorado hot springs\t<\/a><br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>The list includes three representatives \u201cof traditional and indigenous use\u201d of the medicines and two with expertise in the medicines themselves. Another two represent veterans\u2019 issues, while the others represent issues within health care and public policy.<\/p>\n<p>Natural medicine, under the law, includes psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, ibogaine and mescaline, all of which <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/news\/politics\/election\/psilocybin-psychedelics-mushrooms-decriminalized-colorado\/\">are now decriminalized in Colorado<\/a> for people 21 and older. The law also allows regulated psilocybin to be administered at licensed \u201chealing centers\u201d as a form of therapy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">\n\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/news\/state-considers-bill-urging-companies-to-switch-to-4-day-workweek\/?ipid=promo-link-block2\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tState considers bill urging companies to switch to 4-day workweek\t<\/a><br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>One of the new board\u2019s tasks is to consider whether to allow the other three decriminalized psychedelics \u2014 DMT, ibogaine and mescaline \u2014 under the legally regulated program. The board could recommend adding them as soon as 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The board will also recommend regulations and rules for the program, education and training for facilitators and \u201caffordable, equitable, ethical and culturally responsible access,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dpo.colorado.gov\/dpo-home\/natural-medicine-health-act-home\/natural-medicine-health-act-board\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">among other duties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<\/aside>\n<h2>Who\u2019s on Colorado\u2019s \u2018Natural Medicine\u2019 board<\/h2>\n<p>Polis\u2019 office named and described the board members as listed below.<\/p>\n<p>Terms expire Jan. 31, 2025, for these board members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>William Dunn, NRP, FP-C, of Avon, to serve as a representative of emergency medical services and services provided by first responders<\/li>\n<li>Billy Wynne, J.D., of Greenwood Village, to serve as a representative of health care insurance and healthcare policy and public health, drug policy and harm reduction<\/li>\n<li>Sofia Chavez, Ph.D., of Lakewood, to serve as a representative of traditional and indigenous use and religious use of natural medicine<\/li>\n<li>Bradley Conner, Ph.D., of Fort Collins, to serve as a representative of natural medicine therapy, medicine and research<\/li>\n<li>Wendy Buxton-Andrade, of Lamar, to serve as a representative of levels and disparities in access to health care services among different communities<\/li>\n<li>Skippy Upton Mesirow, of Aspen, to serve as a representative of permitted organization criteria<\/li>\n<li>Ernestine Gonzales, Ph.D., M.A., M.S., of Colorado Springs, to serve as a representative of health care insurance and health care policy, past criminal justice reform efforts in Colorado, and disparities in access to healthcare services among different communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Terms will expire Jan. 31, 2027, for these board
