Many counties in Kentucky have a plethora of available jobs within state government.

Kentucky has positions in the Justice & Public Safety Cabinet, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs and more.

Take a look at this list for some of the highest-paid positions currently available with the commonwealth of Kentucky. The following listings were posted between May 2 and June 13.

Social Service Specialist

County: Jefferson

Salary: $44,722.80 to $68,234.40

Hiring agency: Justice & Public Safety Cabinet, Department of Juvenile Justice

This is a full-time position with a 37.5-hour workweek and an opportunity for overtime pay.

The person selected for this position will plan, coordinate, evaluate and monitor services provided through the Alternatives to Detention Program and assist courts and agencies in evaluation and placement of detained youth, according to the job’s description.
