Gov. Justice,
I watched you on the news and you were saying you don’t think the people in West Virginia should be voting on the abortion law. You said it is the job of the lawmakers in Charleston. You lawmakers got to Charleston on the citizens’ votes.
I believe it is a woman’s right to decide what procedures her body goes through. Every woman should be able to make the choice regarding abortion on her own and her doctor’s decision.
I want my daughter, my granddaughter and my sister making their decisions on having or not having an abortion. I don’t want a bunch of male lawmakers making that decision for them.
Gov. Justice, I have seen the lawmakers in Charleston and 95% of them are old white men, so an abortion bill does not stand a chance of getting passed. How many laws will be brought up taking health care away from men? Will there be a law refusing men access in Viagra? I don’t think so.
As the great governor of Texas, Ann Richard, once said, “If there are no women at the table, they they will be on the menu.” So, Gov. Justice put the abortion bill on the ballot and give the citizens of West Virginia a chance to decide this issue.
