Swift confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson will reaffirm our belief in equal justice

[ad_1]

Regardless of background, race, or gender, Americans believe in the sacred promise of equal justice under the law. For generations, Black women have been locked out of the opportunity to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. With the nomination of the Hon. Ketanji Brown Jackson, we are taking an important step toward making our justice system one that more fully respects and reflects the very best of every kind of American. Jackson has served in prestigious judicial positions with distinction as a champion for ordinary Americans, carefully applying the law for working people across race, place, and origin, even as many have sought to trample our rights and deny our freedoms.

The Senate must swiftly confirm Judge Jackson to help carry out our highest court’s sacred duty to protect our rights, secure our liberties, and render equal justice for all.
