Montoursville Area High School recognized their January students of the month. Ethan Wanner and Katelyn Hunsberger are the Warrensville Lions Club Students of the Month, and Blaise Alexander and Shyanne Klemick are the Montoursville Lions Club Students of the Month.
Ethan Wanner, son of John and Katie Wanner, is involved in Rho Kappa, Social Studies Honor Society; football; track; Constitutional Convention; and Model UN. After high school, Ethan plans to attend Lycoming College to major in criminal justice and play football.
Katelyn Hunsberger is the daughter of Jackie Kaiser-Rist, Jeremy Rist and Jeff Hunsberger. Katelyn is involved in Quill & Scroll Honor Society; National Art Honor Society, vice president; National English Honor Society, secretary; student government; marching band; and Key club. She is also a guitarist at Robert M. Sides and the lead photo editor of the Arrowhead Newspaper. In the fall, Katelyn was named the 2022 winner of the Newspaper Photography Category at the PSPA State Competition. After high school, she plans to attend Mercyhurst to pursue a degree in forensic science.
Shyanne Klemick, daughter of Shelly Steinbacher and Thomas Klemick, is involved in Key club, vice president; Class of 2023 officer, vice president; Spanish club; student government, senior representative; Science National Honor Society; National English Honor Society; National Honor Society; Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honor Society; yearbook; and Quill & Scroll Honor Society. Shyanne has been involved in several Key club service projects and the Lead4Change Leadership project. After high school, Shyanne plans to attend Penn State University to major in criminology.
Blaise Alexander, son of Adam and Angie Alexander, is involved with the agriculture program; basketball; golf; football; and ski club. Blaise is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He has helped with the Faith United Buddy Backpack Program; Central PA Food Bank, packing volunteer; and the American Rescue Workers serving meals on Christmas Day. After high school, Blaise plans to attend Penn College’s diesel mechanic program and work for his family’s business.
