The Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy and the Department of Law, Criminology, and Social Work at Royal Holloway seek to appoint a Lecturer in Politics. The successful applicant would be expected to start in September 2022.
About the Department
The Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy is a part of the School of Law and Social Sciences. The Department of Politics, International Relations, and Philosophy is a research-intensive unit ranked second in the country by the Times Higher Education following the publication of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 results. The Department provides a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. We carry out research across the different disciplines, but we place special emphasis on our research centres and clusters: the Contemporary Political Theory Research Group, the Centre for International Security, the Democracy and Elections Centre, the Centre for Islamic and West Asian Studies, the Global Politics and Development Centre, and the New Political Communication Unit.
About the role
This post is in part cover for an existing member of staff. The successful candidate will convene and deliver modules on our undergraduate programmes. In particular, we are looking for someone to teach on the Department of Politics, International Relations, and Philosophy’s elections and campaigning and political communication courses and to work with the Democracy and Elections Centre and/or the New Political Communications Unit.
